Regardless of the vacancy we are given, we always look to follow the same, detailed recruitment process to ensure both job hunters and employers are given a consistent and quality service.

We don’t believe in shortcuts, so you can be assured that whether you engage us as an employer or we contact you as a candidate, you will be given the time and attention you deserve.

The Brief

Start as you mean to go on.  Getting a quality, informed brief at the beginning of the recruitment process is vital to ensure the best chances of finding the right candidate.

Where possible we will meet the employer to discuss things face to face or, at the very least, we’ll have an in depth phone conversation regarding the role, company, and ideal candidate to ensure the best chance of getting the search right at the first time of asking.

Rest assured that we will never just flog job hunters a job spec and ask them to fill in the gaps!

We use a variety of means to source potential candidates including using our own database, job boards, referrals and proactively networking to find the right people.  When needed we will also advertise your vacancy, writing a bespoke, high quality advert that hiring managers/HR can review before posting.

We will then prepare our initial shortlist and interview (either on the phone or face to face when possible) prospective candidates, before whittling down our final shortlist to the best 3-5 prospects based on agreed criteria.  Each candidate will be submitted with an informative and honest interview report for the hiring manager/HR to review and discuss with us if they prefer.

Feedback / Interviews

One of the most common gripes employers have of recruiters is the incessant chasing for feedback soon after sending CVs/interviews taking place.  Whilst we have a responsibility to try and get feedback for candidates in a timely fashion, we also recognise that not everything always goes exactly to plan and constantly pestering you for feedback doesn’t really help anyone.  We will work with you to manage feedback and keep candidates informed, giving polite reminders when required and giving you time and space when things are delayed.

Job hunters can be assured that they will always get feedback/regular updates from us on every vacancy they have been submitted for.

Post-placement follow up

Our job doesn’t end with making a placement.  We take a genuine interest in how our candidates are getting on in their new job and how they settle in.  We will always call both the candidate and line manager/HR at the end of the first week and month and, if convenient, make an on site visit to share a handshake and quite possibly a box of something delicious.

If things are going swimmingly we’ll be there to bask in the good news and, if things aren’t going to plan, we’ll be there to help in any way we can.
